Sardinia: Introduction |

A legend says that once upon a time, when Earths life started, there was a continent called Tirrenide which was covered by rich vegetation, populated by strong people and fantastic animals.
Suddenly and reasonless, God's wrath lashed out the Earth destroying everything and risking to submerge even the beautiful continent. When God calmed down, He realized what He did and in order to mend, saved what was left of Tirrenide before submerging it: that was done by his foot which form you can recognize of. In this way, the legend explains the particularly form of this Island in the middle Mediterranean.
Obviously his birth was not so fantastic, but his history is anyway completely different from all other countries.
